fabulous family day out at Zuiderzee museum. drove an hour to get there, along beautiful dykes and out into across across the water. parked, took a ferry over to the open air museum and really enjoyed the day and the beautiful weather!
Enjoying trying out some "olden day" games a term Emma is fond of saying. so funny!
face paint! This girls loves to get her face painted. Aidan, not so much.
olden day school
girls on the boat
the hysterics of this time could not be captured in a photo....circles, and ore circles while I figures out how the boat worked. good times.
the boys
there were even rides at the museum....so of course we took part and enjoyed them.
ice cream time.
olden day things
washing facilities from long ago. fascinating, how they did laundry and were so efficient with the process of heating the coal and using it to produce the steam to power the washing machines and the heat to the dry the clothes hanging in the rafters on the next floor up.
I have seen this sculpture on a post card...but to see it in person, so neat.
