More weekend fun riding bikes (on trails...go Emma!) and making cut out cookies. Not planned, but when Em asked I couldn't resist! It's fun when they think and remember our traditions for holidays. :)

Pumpkins!
We may live in holland but our American tradition of carving pumpkins continues. They were a little interesting m, and non traditional to find...but we found them and these two were over the moon to carve them!!!

Pumpkins! Mid term break...off to a good start
We found pumpkins! Def different experience than in America, but we will take it bc they are not easy to find and we are just so happy to have a couple to carve. Halloween is an American holiday...I never realized it!
Another family bike ride. Never gets old!

2 wheels
Over the weekend (Oct 4-5) Ms Em decided it was time to ride on two wheels...instead of with her training wheels. SO proud of her. She was so ready. Sh whips around, almost dangerously on her bike with training wheels on...so its more than time. We just wanted her to be ready as well. She took just about two tries with daddy running along side holding the back and she was off. She starts her self, turns and even stops well. Its crazy! She rode over to the Nike campus with her training wheels on...and learned on the grass out front and then the Nike Grind path....it was time to go home and she insisted on just riding home with two wheels. It was impressive! She crashed once when she went too close to the curb, but got right back up and went on home. She was so happy and proud of her self. she insisted on a sweetie as a reward, to which of course we agreed! ha!
Sunday we went out on our first official family bike ride with everyone on two wheels. 7K...she rode all the way and loved it. She was tired at the end, but after some down time she insisted on going out and practicing more around the neighborhood. So fun!
