Aidan checked out a cure little cookbook from the school library two weeks in a row so that we could make a recipe from it...we ran out of time the first week, hence the reason for the second week of checking out the same book. Well tomorrow is library day...and today is our only weekday without activities so as soon as we got home and he asked to do it...I figured...better just let him! :)
The weather is terrible...cold, WINDY and spells of down pouring rain or hail. Great day for a project inside.
He has had a recipe picked out and ready to go...so strait to work he went...chopping chocolate and getting things ready. I told him I was nervous with him using such a large knife...to which he wittingly replied "mom, this is a life skill, I need to do it in order to learn" oy ve! so true...so I stepped back and just watched (nervously, but very convinced- smart kid!)

How bad can they be?! They were yummy. Hard to wait an hour for them to harden up in the fridge...but worth the wait. Thanks Aidan!!
