This year Emma wanted to have a party with some of her friends. We settled on a Bee party, at the place we have been getting our local honey from since we arrived in the Netherlands. The girls (and Aidan) learned about bees, their homes and their lifecycle. They learned why they are important and how they make honey. (it was so educational!) They also got to make candles, dipping wicks in bees wax 15 times, (take a walk around the garden loop between each dip) as well as pour bees wax into molds and adding a wick. last, they took bees wax and rolled it into a candle and the decorated it. It was really fun and everyone enjoyed the time together. They kids also decorated little cupcakes. Def a successful birthday party!
